Axis Pioneer Square Wedding in Seattle Washington

I know I’ve already announced that my wedding season was officially over for 2017, but every once in awhile, you meet a couple that just inspires you to get off the cozy couch, dust off your gear and go out and shoot. That was Jamie and Shawn wedding last week. These two goofy lovebirds said I do in front all their loved ones at Axis Pioneer Square.

What made this wedding unique?

I would say the moment that these two busted out playing rocks, papers, and scissors to decide who was going to go first with their vows. The best part, these two went a solid six rounds before Jamie finally won. I love watching how these two bring out their goofy side when they are together. It was the best part of watching them, especially on the dance floor. They brought not only tears of joy but laughter to all their guest.

Let’s talk about those wedding must-haves.

I definitely took some notes for my own future wedding one day. First off Duos Catering really brought down the house with their twist on your typical wedding meal. Their mission statement says, “a five-star meal without the five-star attitude,” and boy were they on point with that statement! The menu featured, a street taco station along with a chicken and waffle biscuit station. Can you say, YUM!!!!

And those sweets!

The trend lately has been to find alternatives to the typical three-tier wedding cake. Why? More and more couples find that not only does the price not match the value but their taste buds have alternative needs. I’ve seen pies, candy stations, donut tiers and now a mini ice cream trays. Duos catering created these mini ice cream trays that they passed along during the reception while everyone was dancing and man was that a hit!

Jamie and Shawn your wedding was such an inspiration and a true reflection of who you both are. Thank you for including me as part of this special day.

On a side note, it was awesome to see Brooke, their wedding planner and a previous JJP couple of mine again! Brooke did such an amazing job coordinating and staying on top of all those wedding details that happen behind the scenes.
