The first time I met Marsha was actually at Chelsey and Eric’s wedding. She came up to me asked if I was Julianna, and then introduced herself as my bride. We had spoken on the phone months ago and I had no idea she would be attending this wedding.
In preparation for her wedding we were on the phone going over all the logistics and she shared a quick little reveal that her dress would be very unique. I couldn’t wait to see this dress!
On the wedding day, when I saw her walk up to me, I thought, “Wow this girl is rocking a red romper dress” and it couldn’t have looked any better. The judge did an amazing job getting some little details about the couple and using that in there ceremony talk. I have always had seen such an amazing experience from the judges here in Seattle at the courthouse. They really do take time for each couple and try to give them a very unique experience.
We headed up to a top-level room since they had a larger crowd of 24 guests show up at the courthouse. This room was incredible—she even got the chance to walk down the aisle with her dad! The ceremony was emotionally touching and I loved seeing both their faces as they tried to hold tears back
After the ceremony, we headed off to the streets of Pike’s Place and played around so I could capture a great variety of photos showing off the dress, the feeling of romance, and them a newly married couple.
I met them the next day for their reception-only party at the Luxe Factory, a new venue I had actually never been to but was excited to see. We really didn’t have to go too far for any of the portraits. We had so many options right outside the venue for that urban look.
They served some great hors d’oeuvres and had an open bar for all their guests. One of my favorite highlights of the night was when they played Lady In Red, and Marsha came out in her red dress romper as she danced the rest of the night away.
If you’re having a courthouse wedding, feel free to reach out to me! I have great collections specific for a two-hour courthouse wedding.
