The morning started at the Thompson Hotel for some candid getting ready images. The couple arrived and quickly were told the room wasn’t ready. Of course that added a little unnecessary stress, as we had planned on having roughly 45 mins of time for those photos. I reassured them I could get what I needed done in 15 mins 🙂 About 30 mins later, we entered the breathtaking room with one of the most beautiful Seattle waterfront view. I gave them direction to be almost fully ready, grabbed their details and started shooting away. As promise we were out of the door in 15 minutes and they mentioned to me, they didn’t even feel rushed.
I continued taking some their portraits in front of the Thompson Hotel and then we drove off to Parsons Garden in Upper Queen Anne. After taking a few fun, classic and candid portraits, I drove them both to the Canlis Venue and in fact we were a little early. The Ceremony was intimate just as they wanted. The room was filled with a great group of long time friends and family. The night ended with a few more photos on the rooftop. As I was leaving, I saw the beautiful venue from a far, I quickly ran back up and asked if they would just stand in the middle of it. That last photo became their favorite and the one they told me they would be printing largely for their home. Nothing makes me more happy then to create those type of photos that I know they will hold dear for a lifetime.
